Japan Kendama Association members who successfully complete the exam for a kyu ranking (from 1 up to 10) receive an official certificate from the JKA. These are the actual blank certificates, suitable for display with your kendama stuff. If you had really received one of these after a JKA examination it would have the kyu level, your name, the date, and the name and official seal of a JKA official added. While owning one of these certificates does not mean that you have received an official kyu ranking, it may very well mean that you are a "certified kendama nut."

The big red seal in the center says "Japan Kendama Association." To the right are the words "Certificate," "Kendama kyu level ___," and a space for the name of the recipient (written vertically). In the middle is "This person is certified to be ..." To the left of that is a space for the date, and to the far left is "Japan Kendama Association, a nonprofit organization."
