Shin Fuji
The Shin Fuji was produced by Hakushinsha. It was a solid, well-made JKA certified kendama.
The wood used for the ken and sarado on the Shin Fujis seems to be smoother than that used in the Oozoras. We asked the maker about that, and they said it has to do with changes in the drying process used for the raw wood. We actually prefer the wood used of the Shin Fujis to the Oozoras, but on the other hand the Oozora ball painting is quite attractive, while the Shin Fuji paint surface can sometimes be rough (but better for the lighthouse trick). The ken point is blunter on the Shin Fujis than on the Oozoras. The lip around the chuzara of the Shin Fujis is about a millimeter shorter than on the Oozoras
