Clone Kendamas
The JKA competition kendamas are acknowledged to be the gold standard in kendama design, and those little foil seals are like brand labels on high fashion goods. But a market has developed for design-identical kendamas without the seals. These clone kendamas fall into three categories: (1) inexpensive clones catering to the budget conscious who want a competition style kendama without having to pay the JKA seal tax; (2) clone kendamas painted in colors not approved by the JKA; and (3) deluxe kendamas made from higher quality materials than the standard JKA kendamas.
